Celebrate National Lamb Day with a cooking demonstration from Chef Tom followed by lunch together in front of the roaring fire. For this cooking demonstration Tom and Rafa want to show you how simple it can be to make a showstopping centerpiece using New Zealand lamb for any dinner party with a few tricks and chef hacks. After this masterclass you will confidently be able to put together an amazing feast for your friends and whanau without the stress.  You will also learn the best wines from our cellar to pair with lamb.

This time around we will be giving you our very own recipe and method for the best lamb rack you will ever eat, teaching you how to cook it perfectly without fail. We will also show you how to prepare an accompanying dessert that you can tweak and make your own. Moraine Lodge overlooks the Ben Ohau mountain range and tawny Mackenzie Farmscape. Starting with a cooking demonstration by the Retreat Chefs, then languishing over the resultant cuisine which is healthy, elegant and cooked from scratch from local produce. Wine match suggestions from our carefully curated wine cellar are presented to you by the Retreat chefs. After lunch or between courses, stroll around the Lodge environs or try your hand at a friendly game of croquet on the lawn.
The cooking demonstration and delicious lunch is included in the tariff.  Admission by ticket only available by prior purchase.

Moraine Lodge is located at Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat, 86 Mount Cook Road (SH80), Lake Pukaki 7999. We are just 860 metres from the SH8 and SH80 intersection.
